About Our Community
Delaware Female Creatives was founded in 2019 with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a collective group for women-based businesses in Delaware to network, collaborate, and support one another. As the founder, I was inspired to create this group after experiencing the positive impact of similar communities while away at college in New England. Upon returning home, I searched for a similar group in Delaware but found none. That's when I realized that I needed to take action and create a space where female entrepreneurs and creatives could come together and thrive.
I started by creating an Instagram and Facebook group to feature local businesses, and slowly began hosting networking events and happy hours. As the group grew from just a handful of members to over 2,000 women-owned businesses and creatives, I continued to connect people, help them find job opportunities, and foster a sense of community. Seeing members connect and even start businesses through our group has been an incredibly fulfilling experience.
As we look to the future, we are committed to continuing to provide a supportive space for women-owned businesses in Delaware to succeed and thrive. Here's to many more years and opportunities for female entrepreneurs!
At the heart of my vision is a commitment to creating a secure and supportive environment for women-owned businesses and creatives to connect, network, exchange ideas, and collaborate with one another. I am dedicated to fostering a community that encourages growth, empowerment, and success for all its members. By providing a safe and welcoming space, we can all thrive and achieve our entrepreneurial goals together. Join us today and become a part of our vibrant community of female entrepreneurs and creatives!
“Stay true to yourself and your vision. Don’t let any one person’s opinion move you; listen, but be confident.”
