Chelsea Moyer's Entrepreneurial Journey: From Shoe Painter to Polymer Clay Artisan

In the picturesque streets of Middletown, Delaware, Chelsea Moyer's entrepreneurial spirit began to bloom at a young age. The charm of local small businesses lining the downtown area fueled her childhood dreams of owning her venture one day.

Chelsea's first foray into entrepreneurship took shape during her senior year of high school. Painting shoes, a venture reminiscent of popular brands like Keds, became her initial canvas. Though her senior project resulted in the sale of only one pair, the experience was a significant milestone, proving that she could create something meaningful independently.

Upon entering the University of Delaware to pursue a degree in Marketing, the demands of college life led Chelsea to temporarily set aside her shoe painting venture. Graduation ushered her into a marketing job within the financial services industry, but the corporate world left her creatively unfulfilled.

The year 2020, marked by upheaval worldwide, became a turning point for Chelsea. With newfound time on her hands, she revisited her entrepreneurial aspirations. Having been a creative soul since childhood, she explored various outlets, including painting during her free time and involving her younger sister in artistic projects.

In an unexpected twist of fate, Chelsea discovered Polymer Clay Jewelry while scrolling through Pinterest in 2020. Intrigued by the unique possibilities of polymer clay crafting, particularly in the realm of earrings, she purchased a starter kit and embarked on a journey guided by YouTube tutorials and fueled by trial and error. Full Time, Chelsea's brainchild was born.

Since its inception, Full Time has evolved into a haven of creativity, with Chelsea crafting over a thousand pieces of jewelry for her growing customer base. The journey has been exhilarating, marked by growth through platforms like Etsy and pop-up events. Chelsea credits her family, friends, and customers for playing a pivotal role in her success, acknowledging their unwavering support.

Expanding her horizons, Chelsea introduced clay magnets to her product line. With plans to unveil new products in 2024, Full Time continues to evolve. Despite maintaining a 9-5 job to meet financial obligations, Chelsea remains resolute in her determination to transition into full-time entrepreneurship—a commitment echoed in the very name of her business, full-time.

As Chelsea's creative journey continues to unfold, there is eager anticipation for the day Full Time takes center stage on Main Street. From a young dreamer envisioning her business to a resilient artisan shaping polymer clay into wearable art, Chelsea Moyer's entrepreneurial saga is a testament to passion, persistence, and the pursuit of a "Full Time" dream.
