Meet Amanda Russell the owner of Chaos Coordination LLC

When I started my business in April 2019, I had been staying home with my kids for almost 2 years. Previously, I had been a paralegal, working at a large firm in Wilmington, but the hours and the commute no longer worked for my family. I had 3 kids in 4.5 years and desperately needed something different. After staying home for those few years, I started working as a virtual assistant for a few local business owners. Within a few months, this business grew into what it is today - a full-service content strategy and copywriting firm. It's been an amazing blessing that has provided me with the creative outlet (and income!) that I needed without the hour+ commute and set schedule of a normal job. I get to do what I love every day while helping other small business owners.

My advice to other up-and-coming business owners and creatives is to find a group of fellow entrepreneurs for support. I have a super supportive family but no one really understands the struggles and achievements of small business quite like other entrepreneurs. My groups of small business owner friends made all the difference in my success. Honestly, without it, I probably would have given up a long time again! Entrepreneurship isn't easy but it's definitely worth it.
